Third, identify critical dimensions, functional datums, surface-finish requirements and the general tolerance standard that applies to dimensions without individual limits.
Fourth, provide the initial order quantity and a realistic repeat-order quantity. This allows setup costs and potential quantity price breaks to be shown separately.
Fifth, define heat treatment, coating, inspection, material certification and reporting requirements before the quotation is prepared.
Sixth, specify the delivery destination, requested trade term and target date so that the quoted part price can be separated from freight, duties, brokerage and other landed-cost items.
According to Zhenling Metal, the checklist is intended to keep unresolved assumptions visible before production and help buyers and manufacturers align on the drawing revision, material condition, acceptance criteria and delivery scope.

Machined work has no minimum order quantity. ISO 2768-1 class m is used as the default general tolerance unless the customer’s drawing specifies another requirement.
