Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is commemorating its 115th anniversary with an investment in arts education in its hometown of New Orleans and coordinated volunteer efforts across its U.S. offices. To mark the milestone, 115 PALIG employees, their families, and friends will come together for a day of service in partnership with KID smART, a nonprofit organization that expands access to arts-rich learning for public school students.
The volunteer initiative, a hands-on, school-based community service project, includes school beautification projects such as front entrance landscaping and planting, outdoor classroom enhancements, sports equipment installation, and outdoor learning amenities. Scheduled for Saturday, March 28, the effort underscores PALIG’s long-standing belief that meaningful impact is created through both financial support and direct community engagement.
“This milestone is not only a moment to reflect on our 115-year history, but an opportunity to reaffirm who we are and what we stand for,” said José S. Suquet, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Pan-American Life Insurance Group. “For over a century, Pan-American Life has been guided by a simple principle: people come first. Our 115th-anniversary initiative reflects our deep commitment to the communities where we live and work, through both financial support and direct engagement by our people. We believe our employees make the greatest difference when they give their time and talent to those who need us most, while honoring the values that have sustained our company across generations.”
“This partnership makes a meaningful difference for our students and educators,” said Elise Gallinot Goldman, Executive Director of KID smART. “By investing in arts-rich learning, Pan-American Life is helping ensure children across New Orleans have access to creative experiences that build confidence, critical thinking, and joy in the classroom. We are grateful for PALIG’s long-standing commitment to this community and for understanding the arts are essential to every child’s education.”
The New Orleans initiative is part of PALIG’s broader 115th anniversary theme, “115 Years of Trust – 115 Years of Life,” reinforcing the company’s commitment to being People You Can Trust for Life.
PALIG is extending this volunteer commitment across all U.S. office locations throughout the week. In partnership with United Way and local organizations, employees nationwide are participating in coordinated volunteer days to create wellness kits and school supply kits for students, collectively contributing 115 volunteer hours across five cities:
- Jersey City, NJ – Tuesday, March 24
- Perth Amboy, NJ – Wednesday, March 25
- Coral Gables, FL – Wednesday, March 25
- Oak Brook, IL – Thursday, March 26
- Richardson, TX – Late March/April
These coordinated efforts demonstrate PALIG’s commitment to supporting communities through meaningful, hands-on engagement and reflect values built and strengthened across 115 years of service.
