Dr Libby Forbes Brings Expert Allergy Care to Brisbane Families

Paedix, a leading Brisbane allergy clinic, has announced the arrival of Dr Libby Forbes, a highly qualified Paediatric Allergy Specialist who is now seeing patients across the Brisbane region. Her appointment marks a significant step forward for the clinic as it continues to expand its capacity to deliver expert care to children and families managing complex allergy and immune conditions.
We are delighted to introduce Dr Libby Forbes, who has recently joined our practice as a Paediatric Allergy & Immunology Specialist and Immunopathologist.
Dr Libby provides comprehensive assessment and management of children with a broad range of allergic and immunological conditions, including food and environmental allergies, eczema, asthma and urticaria. She performs skin prick testing and supervised food challenges where appropriate, and offers allergen immunotherapy for environmental allergies.
Dr Libby completed her specialist training in Paediatric Allergy and Immunology at Queensland Children’s Hospital and John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle, and undertook additional specialist training in Immunopathology at Pathology Queensland. She has a particular interest in allergies presenting in infancy and early childhood, as well as supporting adolescents as they transition into adulthood with allergic conditions.
Known for her warm and approachable manner, Dr Libby is committed to evidence-based practice, shared decision-making and family-centred care. She is passionate about empowering families with the knowledge and confidence to manage allergic conditions effectively..
