Eaglewood Technologies proudly announces its partnership with Italy’s BFT Group to bring the BFT Flexo automatic inking and washing system to their flexographic printing customers.
The BFT Flexo system provides a fully automated approach to ink delivery and cleaning: operations begin at the touch of a screen, ridding of manual pump adjustment and wash routines. It intelligently manages ink flow, flushes lines between jobs to prohibit contamination, and recovers unused ink at the end of each run. A built-in pre-wash phase decreases water or solvent use by up to 50%; onboard Siemens PLCs enable smart diagnostics and remote system integration. All you need to do by hand is operate the touchscreen.
This system is part of a broader suite of BFT technologies that Eaglewood will make available to printers. That includes Ink600, a sensor that monitors ink use per printed piece and alerts operators before levels run low, and MasterClean, an automatic drum cleaning system that keeps presses running safely and efficiently. These solutions extend automation to areas that have long been manual, lightening the workload for operators, limiting material loss, and supporting steady print quality.
