A New Step Forward for GoFly Academy Students in Miami
Miami, United States – July 5, 2026 / GoFly Academy /
MIAMI, FL — GoFly Academy has reached an important milestone in its Part 141 training program after receiving FAA Self-Examining Authority for its Private Pilot and Instrument Rating courses.
The authorization allows qualifying students enrolled in GoFly Academy’s approved Part 141 programs to complete their final course evaluation process through the school, once all FAA requirements, stage checks, training records, aeronautical experience, and proficiency standards have been met.
For students, this means a more organized and predictable path through the final stages of training. It also helps reduce the scheduling challenges that can come with relying only on outside examiner availability.
“This is a big step for our students and for our instructors,” said Marcelo Fabiano, General Manager and Director of Quality Control at GoFly Academy. “We have worked hard to build a training environment that is structured, consistent, and focused on doing things the right way. This approval reflects that work.”
Located at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, GoFly Academy trains students pursuing aviation goals ranging from their first flight to commercial pilot certificates and ratings. The school offers Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Single-Engine, Commercial Multi-Engine, Certified Flight Instructor training, license convalidation, discovery flights, Accelerated and career-track pilot programs.
GoFly Academy’s training approach is built around FAA-approved syllabi, experienced Certified Flight Instructors, stage checks, student progress tracking, simulator-supported instruction, and a strong focus on safety and proficiency.
“This does not change the standard students need to meet,” Fabiano added. “It simply gives us a better structure to help qualified students move through the final steps of their training in a more efficient and professional way.”
The approval is another step in GoFly Academy’s continued growth as a flight school in the Miami area. By strengthening its internal training and evaluation process, the academy aims to provide students with a clearer path while maintaining the same FAA standards required throughout Part 141 training.
