Corazon Capital led the oversubscribed round as Gaia Dynamics expands its scope into strategic trade intelligence, compliance planning, and tariff optimization
Palo Alto, CA (PRUnderground) September 16th, 2026

Gaia Dynamics, the leading AI-powered trade compliance platform, today announced the close of an oversubscribed $7 million seed round led by Corazon Capital, with participation from Lobby Capital and continued backing from existing investors Andrew Ng’s AI Fund and Zenda Capital.
The funding comes as trade rules are becoming more complex amid rapid regulatory changes; customs authorities are increasing enforcement, raising the cost and risk of errors; and businesses face a shortage of qualified professionals able to manage the growing volume, complexity, and exposure. Together, these pressures are making traditional, manual approaches to global trade increasingly difficult to sustain, affecting product margins, sourcing decisions, market access, and working capital. As a result, global trade decisions are drawing greater attention from CFOs, general counsels, supply-chain leaders, and corporate boards.
Gaia Dynamics is expanding beyond traditional compliance workflows to give these teams the information and AI tools to evaluate risk, coordinate their response, and plan more effectively. Since launching in late 2024, Gaia has become the first AI application to ace three consecutive U.S. Customs Broker License Examinations, enabling importers, exporters, logistics providers, and trade professionals with a purpose-built platform that helps perform Harmonized System classification, calculate tariffs, improve product data, audit customs entries, and manage compliance across 48 countries. Its multilingual capabilities allow teams to analyze trade information and work with colleagues and outside partners in local and official languages, rather than simply translating the platform’s interface.
“Global trade is changing too quickly for companies to manage it through disconnected systems, spreadsheets, and periodic reviews,” said Emil Stefanutti, co-founder and CEO of Gaia Dynamics. “We are excited to have an exceptional group of partners behind our vision for a platform that helps businesses know where they stand, manage what they need to do, and make better trade decisions. This funding will allow us to move faster and deliver the next generation of AI capabilities our customers need to manage trade as a strategic advantage.”
Gaia’s annual recurring revenue grew 8x over the past 12 months as the company added close to 800 accounts, including some of the world’s largest logistics companies, Fortune 500 importers and exporters, prominent customs brokerages, consulting firms, and law firms. Customers have completed millions of operations on the platform and used Gaia to manage datasets containing hundreds of thousands of products or entry lines. With up to 200 times the capacity of conventional manual workflows, Gaia enables customers to evaluate entire datasets instead of relying on limited samples, in minutes rather than weeks.
“Gaia stands out as the leader in applying AI to solve the industry’s most complex and consequential problems,” said Sam Yagan, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Corazon Capital. “The company’s technology is unmatched in the market, as evidenced by its rapid commercial growth, global reach, and adoption by highly sophisticated organizations. The Gaia team has both the foundation and the vision to define the next generation of global trade software.”
Gaia will use the funding to expand its team and introduce new AI capabilities for strategic trade planning and compliance before year-end. The expanded platform will help companies move through three connected stages:
-
Know where they stand and avoid mistakes by verifying product and entry data, identifying discrepancies, classifying products, calculating tariffs, understanding trade exposure, and monitoring regulatory changes.
-
Do what compliance requires by identifying country-specific import and export requirements, creating actionable checklists, validating supporting materials, and coordinating work across internal teams and outside advisors.
-
Improve how they trade by evaluating opportunities involving tariffs, sourcing, country of origin, free trade agreements, bills of materials, and import-substitution alternatives to reduce costs and strengthen supply-chain resilience.
