The latest additions to South Coast Plaza span several corners of the luxury market, from ready-to-wear by established designers to high jewelry and fragrance. The lineup includes both historic houses with roots in the 19th century and younger labels founded in the past two decades, reflecting the range of generations and specialties represented at the plaza.
The arrivals build on a history that began in 1967, when the Segerstrom family opened South Coast Plaza on former lima bean farmland in Costa Mesa. Today, the plaza’s mix of international fashion and high jewelry maisons, contemporary designers and award-winning dining destinations reflects the evolution of its role in Southern California’s retail and cultural landscape.

- Tiffany & Co. has unveiled a 15,000-square-foot store designed by architect Peter Marino, bringing the house’s latest global retail concept to the West Coast. Inside, an immersive moving fresco by Oyoram Visual Compose evoke the coastlines of Laguna Beach, while works by Damien Hirst, Michelangelo Pistoletto and Vik Muniz join a custom light sculpture by architect Hugh Dutton. A Jean Schlumberger gallery and a dedicated High Jewelry space showcase the brand’s exceptional creations. Blue Box Café by Daniel Boulud, the second of its kind and first on the West Coast, has also opened, extending the Tiffany experience into dining.
- Jessica McCormack brings her first West Coast boutique to South Coast Plaza, marking the London-based jeweler’s second U.S. store and fourth freestanding location worldwide. The 1,600-square-foot space translates the brand’s residential aesthetic into an intimate setting of antique furniture, contemporary art, collected objects and hand-printed wallpaper. At its center are McCormack’s signature Day Diamonds, including one-of-a-kind pieces and new collections designed with everyday wear in mind.
- Cult Gaia has built its identity around art-driven accessories and sculptural designs that blur the line between fashion and object. The Los Angeles-based label’s new Orange County boutique brings together ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear and accessories, including the vacation and event wear that have become a signature of the brand.
- Golden Goose puts its Venetian heritage and Italian craftsmanship at the forefront of its redesigned South Coast Plaza boutique, with hand-finished shoes, ready-to-wear, and its Archive sneaker collection, featuring limited-edition designs inspired by the brand’s heritage. The location marks the West Coast debut of the brand’s Repair and Remake services, where an in-house Dream Maker helps clients restore and personalize pieces.
- Rick Owens has turned its boutique into an extension of the designer’s artistic world. The 2,306-square-foot space presents the men’s and women’s collections alongside its home collection in the midst of a selection of concrete prong sculptures previously installed in the garden of Paris’s Palais Galliera for the 2025 retrospective Rick Owens, Temple of Love. For Owens, whose namesake label began in Los Angeles before he moved to Paris in 2003, the installation carries a personal resonance. “Those sculptures meant a lot to me in that space and will mean a lot to me in this space now,” he said.
- Tom Ford brings the house’s full fashion offering for men and women to a boutique in Jewel Court, spanning ready-to-wear, leather goods, fragrance, beauty, eyewear and underwear. The space offers a made-to-measure service, with private appointments for custom suits crafted by the brand’s apparel atelier.
- Polène opened a 1,300-square-foot boutique conceived around the interplay of glass, leather and light. Frosted-glass walls reveal a garden of oversized leather flowers, while a stained-glass window created by Los Angeles-based Judson Studios draws on the same floral motifs. The floor is made from compressed leather pieces shaped into a custom opus incertum pattern at the brand’s workshops in Ubrique, Spain. At an interactive “Craft at Work” station, visitors can make a flower charm from leather remnants with the purchase of a bag.
OPENING THIS FALL
Upcoming arrivals extend across a Parisian house, Scandinavian ready-to-wear, high jewelry, fragrance, streetwear and performance footwear.
- Schiaparelli will open its first standalone U.S. boutique at South Coast Plaza, marking a significant arrival for the Parisian house known for its surrealist approach to fashion. Founded by Elsa Schiaparelli, whose collaborations with artist Salvador Dalí helped shape the relationship between fashion and art, the house continues that legacy under creative director Daniel Roseberry. The boutique will feature ready-to-wear, leather goods, jewelry and accessories.
- TOTEME has built a modern wardrobe around the interplay of shape, material and graphic lines. Founded in Stockholm in 2014 by Elin Kling and Karl Lindman, the Swedish fashion house spans ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories and jewelry. Its upcoming boutique will introduce the label’s pared-back design language to South Coast Plaza.
- Boucheron, founded in 1858 by Frédéric Boucheron, broke barriers by creating the Question Mark necklace without a clasp, allowing the wearer to put it on without assistance. The innovation is reflected today in the Parisian house’s longstanding interest in rethinking traditional jewelry.
- Messika’s founder, Valérie Messika, took inspiration for one of her signature designs from a simple childhood memory of her father, diamond merchant André Messika, sliding diamonds between his fingers to catch their brilliance. That gesture informed the Move collection, in which diamonds glide within their settings. The upcoming boutique will feature the brand’s fine jewelry and High Jewelry.
- MARIA TASH is bringing its fine jewelry and individualized piercing services to South Coast Plaza. The New York designer opened her first studio in Manhattan’s East Village in 1993 and developed the Curated Ear concept, combining multiple piercings and jewelry placements into a personalized arrangement. The brand’s designs also include patented placements that conceal parts of the piercing and jewelry, creating the appearance of diamonds emerging from the ear.
- Maison Francis Kurkdjian reflects the vision of its co-founder, Francis Kurkdjian, whose work has shaped fragrances for some of the world’s leading luxury houses, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior and Guerlain. Founded in 2009 with Marc Chaya, the Parisian fragrance house is known for creations including Baccarat Rouge 540 and Aqua Universalis. Its upcoming boutique will introduce the house’s fragrance collection to South Coast Plaza.
- A Bathing Ape, better known as BAPE, emerged from Tokyo’s Harajuku district in 1993 and became known for its distinctive graphics and streetwear. Its visual signatures include BAPE CAMO, BAPE STA sneakers and the Shark Hoodie. The new boutique will carry men’s and women’s apparel, footwear and accessories.
- HOKA began with an unconventional ambition: helping runners move downhill faster. Founded in the French Alps in 2009 by Jean-Luc Diard and Nicolas Mermoud, the brand developed footwear around cushioning and engineered midsoles, challenging conventional ideas about running shoes. A redesigned boutique will feature its performance footwear and apparel.
- ZARA returns with a new boutique featuring women’s and children’s collections. The Spanish retailer opened its first store in A Coruña in 1975, introducing a retail concept that would grow into an international fashion business.
